I recently photographed game designer Jane McGonigal for the February, 2011 issue of Smithsonian Magazine.
Jane is the Director of Game Research and Development at the Institute for the Future. She is especially interested in the way that massively multiplayer online gaming generates collective intelligence and the way that the collective intelligences thus generated can be utilized as a means of improving the world.
Here’s a tearsheet and couple outtakes. Thanks Molly!
